The challenge
Decades of Motril's history slept on paper: thousands of pages published between 1960 and 2012 that could only be consulted physically and that time was steadily wearing away.
The solution
We digitized the entire archive with our own AI-assisted OCR pipeline that turns every scanned page into searchable text, and built a search engine to match: exact phrase, all words, exclusions and date ranges across tens of thousands of pages, with the original newspaper alongside in a high-quality viewer served by CDN.
The outcome
More than half a century of local memory stops being fragile paper and becomes a living archive: any name, event or date shows up in seconds, with the original page just as it was printed.
