Motril Digital needed to modernize its digital presence without abandoning WordPress, the tool its newsroom works with every day.

The solution
We built a modern Next.js frontend on top of their existing WordPress, without touching it: dedicated sections, a composable front page with live coverage, per-article galleries and a dual sitemap optimized for Google News.

The outcome
The newspaper gained speed, a current image and Google News presence, and the newsroom kept publishing exactly as before.
